From Beyond Social

My research shows that there is need for dialogue and the connection of different religions and philosophies. Not only by all unrest and lack of understanding there is a need for interconnection but also because there is little knowledge of the differences and similarities between our beliefs and thoughts. There is not yet a place to stimulate this gathering. Religious currents also appear to play an important role in providing trust. They form a community in which members join forces and apart from faith, which they convey to society again. Religion is something that transcends us like God, Nature, or Death. That's what everyone has to do with it. A place for reflection, resting and reflecting on life is important. Everyone has a philosophy that is fed by a religion or belief. In addition, there is also a practical consideration for my project. Many beliefs / philosophies do not have their own place to come together to confess their faith. For example, the Buddhist flow in Rotterdam coincides in a kind of living room. Some Islamic communities still pray in old office buildings, so there are other streams that do not have their own place. They deserve their own inspiring place to keep their services. Different users also know different needs. To connect people, they need a place where they feel at home. Where these needs are appreciated. Such as not using sacred images or a laundry room for Muslims, which is a very important aspect to confess their faith. These are just a few examples that need to be taken into account to create 1 shared faith space for multiple religions. The design is a layering and embrace for everyone.
