In some photos the gender codes are depicted in an exaggerated manner and in other photos they become diffuse and indefinable. By means of photography, I question the perspective of contemporary Western norms about gender expression. At the same time, I ask the viewer the question to what extent we cling to the hetero normative bifurcation of a female-male construction. Within the prevailing visual culture I look for alternative forms of representation in gender expression. With this alternative gaze I aim to contribute to a transformation within the visual culture.
