SPIN is the WDKA climate work group. It's spun from the bottom up so please come join!

SPIN spins a web to catch green projects within the academy that wants to grow beyond assignments and accomplish lasting change while connecting with likeminded spirits.

Originally SPIN grew out from ERASMUS CHANGE, the climate group based @ Erasmus university and Erasmus University College (EC among other things organised the largest climate march in Rotterdam ever!). Today SPIN consider itself its strange artsy and unconformist sister. You might find one of her many faces tending the rooftop garden, plundering the trash bunker or drinking laced beetroot juice with the rebellion in the cellar.

But SPIN is not only a place for action. A web spun well equally supports a multitude of buts and like a humongous hammock swung between wise trees; It's a place to exchange ideas, recipes and resources, complain about the weather, speculate about cybernetic gardens or exchange your most fertile tomato seeds. And if there's a branch missing, grow it!

ETYMOLOGY

SPIN is an abbreviation for SymPoeitic InterraNet.

Sympoeitic: pertains to sympoeisis. from old greek, Sym -'with, in company with, together with' and Poeisis - 'creation, production' = act of 'making with'

Interranet is a wordplay on internet and terra.
