Of wel? Wij hebben onderzoek gedaan naar de hoeveelheid van verschillende groente en fruitafval op de Afrikaandermarkt. Kan het niet toch van waarde zijn voor de ondernemers op de markt en voor de wijk?

Na de analyse van de hoeveelheid en het soort afval zijn we in gesprek gegaan met verschillende partijen binnen de Afrikaanderwijk. Daaruit kwam naar voren dat er te weinig licht is op de markt en in de wijk wat zorgt voor een negatieve sfeer. Ons idee is om met het groente en fruitafval een lichtbron te creëren en hiermee de onaangename reputatie van deze wijk verbeteren. We zijn er achter gekomen dat je uit groenten en fruit afval energie kan halen door er een soort batterij van te maken. Die optie hebben we met dit project verder uitgewerkt.

After the analysis of the amount and type of waste, we have been in discussions with several parties within the Afrikaanderwijk. This showed that too little light on the market and in the district which creates a negative atmosphere. Our idea is to create a light source with the fruit and vegetable waste and thus improve the unpleasant reputation of this district. We have learned that you can get from fruit and vegetable waste energy by turning it into a kind of battery. That option, we have further developed this project.

The Afrikaanderwijk market is one of the largest markets of the Netherlands. After a market there remains a large amount of waste behind. Part of it is still good for consumption but the other part is so rotten that you can not do anything with it. we thought ... Do you? We have investigated the amount of different fruit and vegetable waste on the Afrikaandermarkt. Can it be still of value to the operators on the market and for the district? After the analysis of the amount and type of waste, we have been in discussions with several parties within the Afrikaanderwijk.
